2007 Washington State Elementary Chess Championship
Cost
$25 per player
Registration ends April 7, 2007
Format
Grade level competition
Each player will be restricted to playing in his or her own grade
G/30 or G/25 with 5 second delay
K-3 will use a clock if both players agree and supply a clock
4-6 must use a clock if one player requests and supplies a clock
Clocks will be mandatory in the final 20 minutes of a round
Awards
25 team trophies K-3
25 team trophies 4-6
Minimum of 25 Trophies per grade level (target 20% for large sections)
All players scoring 3.0 or above will get an award
Players will receive only one individual award
A team's top five scores will be combined to create a team score
